McCann raises Fintona ATM deficiency with Danske Bank

Published: 31 January, 2019

Sinn Féin West Tyrone Councillor Stephen McCann has written to Danske Bank asking for them to reinstate an outside ATM in Fintona, which was targeted in a recent ram raid robbery.

Making the call councillor McCann said:

"Following the targeting of the ATM in Fintona early in the new year local people have been deprived of an outside ATM. Whilst the SuperValu store has allowed customers to use the Post Office facilities for withdrawals, and this has to be welcomed, the fact remains that outside store hours local people cannot access these facilities. To say it is a huge inconvenience would be an understatement.

"Fintona is the second largest town in the Omagh District, after Omagh itself, and the loss of this ATM has been sorely felt. I have spoken to local people over the course of the past few weeks and this has proven to be a major loss to the local area and economy of the town. Those who targeted this ATM has deprived this area of these facilities and I, on behalf of local people, have raised this deficiency directly with Dankse Bank with a view to reinstating this ATM.CRÍOCH
