McColgan welcomes Gallows Hill Road Repairs Commitment

Omagh Sinn Féin Cllr Marty McColgan has welcomed recognition by DFI Roads that roads in the Gallows Hill area of the town are in poor condition and need significant investment to bring them back to an acceptable standard.

Cllr McColgan said,

"After lobbying DFI Roads on behalf of residents, they have agreed to measure up the area Kevlin Road through to James Street, with work to be carried out in the second half of this financial year.

"As a consequence of the work, the road will have to be closed and residents will have to find alternative parking during the works. However, I have been told that they will be informed by mail drops and newspaper adverts before any works start.

"I welcome this commitment to improve the condition of the roads and I know that it will be a relief to residents."
