West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor Glenn Campbell has commended St. Lawrence's Primary School in Fintona, following the school's success in the Radio Ulster School Choir of the Year competition.

Speaking as news broke of the St. Lawrence's success, Cllr Campbell, who is a member of the school's Board of Governors, said,

"I was delighted to learn today that St. Lawrence's Primary School, Fintona, have won Radio Ulster Junior School Choir of the year.

"This news was announced today at the West Tyrone Feis at St. Joseph's Hall in Omagh and was met with cheers and a warm round of applause. It really is a fantastic achievement for the school and it is richly deserved.

"I want to congratulate all the pupils, parents and staff. The entire Fintona community will be rightly proud of the choir's success. I hope all involved enjoy the celebrations!"
