Sinn Féin MEP and member of the European Agriculture Committee Matt Carthy will address a public meeting on the impact of Brexit in Creggan Community Centre this Friday 30th Sept. at 7pm.
In extending an open invitation to all farming and rural community groups, West Tyrone MLA Declan Mc Aleer said "Matt is a member of the EU Agriculture & Rural Development Committee and has been heavily involved in discussions around key issues such as CAP reform, Agri-trade, food labelling, TTIP and funding for rural communities.
"Following the EU referendum on 23rd June, he has been consulting widely with farming and rural groups to listen to their views and reflecting these at the EU Agric committee and in discussions at the highest level in the EU. The meeting will also be addressed by Martina Anderson MEP.
"This is an opportunity to get information from Matt and Martina and for local farmers and rural groups to make their voices heard on this important topic. The meeting is open to everyone and will last for no more than 90 minutes".
