Community groups urged to apply for council funding before Wednesdays deadline

Published: 24 September, 2015

West Tyrone MLA Declan Mc Aleer has urged community groups and individuals to apply for the council's capital and community support funding ahead of Wednesdays deadline. "The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is currently open for applications from community and sporting organisations for funding in the 2015-2016 financial year. The applications range from capital, community support to festivals and the arts. The full range is posted on the fermanaghomagh.com website. "It would be important to note that there is not a separate application form for Christmas events. If groups are planning a Christmas activity which is separate from a local 'switch on' event, these should be applied for on the Festivals & Events (small) application form. "As someone who has been involved in the community sector for many years I understand the challenging economic climate that groups are in and the importance of funding for local projects. It is critical that organisations apply now for funding support for any initiatives they wish to take between now and April 2016. Applications must be made on an official application form. Application forms and associated guidelines can be downloaded fromwww.fermanaghomagh.com or by contacting the Funding and Investment Unit, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (tel: 0300 303 1777, e: grants@fermanaghomagh.com) The closing date for receipt of all applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30 September 2015 Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
