Local Councillor condemns Trillick Thefts

Published: 17 October, 2014

West Tyrone councillor Stephen McCann has condemned the thefts of property in Trillick in the hours of this morning (Friday 17th) when a number of vehicles were targeted in the West Tyrone town.

Speaking on the incident Councillor McCann revealed:

"Three vehicles were broken into in the Brunt Terrace / Effernan road area of the town in the early hours of Friday morning. Amongst the items stolen were work tools, Sat navs and other personnel items and belongings.

"I want to condemn, in the strongest possible terms, these thefts. Certainly speaking to local people they are shocked at these incidents, which are out of character for our area, which is a close nit community. I would like to appeal to anyone who seen anything or anyone acting suspiciously to contact either myself or the PSNI so that the perpetrators can be brought to account for their actions. These type of actions only bring more hardship on the local community and local people.CRÍOCH
