West Tyrone Sinn Féin -- Building an Ireland of Equals

No place or no tolerance for drugs in the local community - McNally

A Sinn Féin councillor has condemned those behind a 'well planned and well financed' cannabis factory discovered in Carrickmore on Wednesday. Speaking after the drugs find in the town local Councillor Barry McNally commented:

"It comes as a shock to everyone in the local community. Carrickmore is well known for hard work, community development, sporting and cultural success and not with this sort of activity. Certainly we will await the outcome of any investigation relating to this drugs find. However, at this stage, I am satisfied that there was no local involvement in this.

"This find serves as a reminder to us all to be vigilant of drugs, even in strong, stable communities. Speaking on behalf of the local community in Carrickmore and of the wider Mid Tyrone area I want to make it clear that there is no place, or no tolerance for drugs in the local community.
