Declan McAleer MLA and Councillor Anne Marie Fitzgerald have welcomed the efficient completion of the Loughmacrory Road Park and Share which they say will drastically improve road safety, reduce travel costs and cut congestion.

Councillor Fitzgerald said,

"The Loughmacrory Road Park and Share was completed on time and with minimum inconvenience to drivers. It will help improve road safety, reduce travel costs and cut congestion.

"It is a much safer option than previous where people were forced to park their cars on the verge of the main Omagh to Cookstown road, and also for the parents dropping children of for the school bus in the morning, particularly with the installation of the new Bus Shelter."

"Declan McAleer MLA met with the Divisional Roads Manager Conor Loughrey about integrating the bus shelter into the scheme and I facilitated a meeting between DRD and Council officials which secured the construction of the bus shelter."

Declan McAleer MLA said,

"Hopefully the Park and Share will encourage more drivers to car pool on their way to work, massively cutting travel costs but also easing congestion on main arterial routes. This is a great facility and I encourage local people to avail of it."
