Sinn Féin councillor Marty McColgan has congratulated Omagh Saint Endas Gaelic Football Club upon the re-opening of Saint Patricks pitch which has undergone a refurbishment. The pitch situated on the Old Moutjoy road will be used for youth football as well as camogie and hurling.

After he attended the reopening ceremony on Saturday councillor McColgan said:

"I spent a very enjoyable day at the official re-opening of St Patrick's Park in Omagh on Saturday. It was made all the more pleasant by the great weather. This facility will be a major asset in the development and promotion of Gaelic games in the town.

"It is my understanding that the upgraded pitch and changing rooms will be used for youth football, hurling and camogie teams. The work undertaken is a credit to the local Omagh St Endas club and helps to utilise an important asset in this area of the town. A huge congratulations must go to Omagh St. Enda's on such fantastic project and to everyone involved in its delivery.
