Progress made on Bus Shelter construction

Published: 9 February, 2012

Sinn Féin Mid Tyrone councillor Sean Donnelly has revealed that he is liaising closely with the Technical Service department within Omagh District Council regarding the construction of two bus shelters in the Mid Tyrone area. These will outside Altnamona in Altamukin and one at the junction of the Whitebridge and Bernish road. Councillor Donnelly explained the progress:

"I had been approached by residents of and the Whitebridge road area and more recently Altamuskin, seeking the construction of bus shelters on both areas. This has been an ongoing issue. I have been working closely with the Technical services department of with Omagh District Council for a number of months to advance this issue."

"I am happy to report that we are now in the final stages of making this happen. The tenders have gone out and a construction company has been awarded the contract. This development will obviously be of a huge benefit to residents of the areas concerned, including the large number of school children who use these bus shelters on a daily basis. So I look forward to these bus shelters being constructed and becoming operational in the near future."CRÍOCH
