Dromore resurfacing work 'imminent'

Published: 30 January, 2012

Sinn Féin West Tyrone councillor Ann Quinn has welcomed imminent remedial work to be carried out on Dromores Main Street. The local councillor revealed that DRD Road Service will this week commence a resurfacing program on Main Street and Church Street in the town. Councillor Quinn said she had been in constant correspondence with Roads Service reflecting the concerns of local people regarding the poor state of the main street and church street areas of Dromore.

Speaking earlier this week councillor Quinn said:

"I welcome the imminent repairs to be carried out on the road surface in Dromore. The issue has been of concern to local people and business owners in the local area for a considerable time now. I had highlighted these concerns to Roads Service on many occasions so the fact that this work will commence this week is a welcome development.

"Having spoken to local people in the town they are delighted that work is set to commence on this project. It is our hope that the works being undertaken will help improve the road infrastructure and in turn have a positive knock on effect for local businesses in the area affected. CRÍOCH
