Owners of girls bikes found in Sion Mills sought

Published: 4 July, 2011

Sinn Féin Councillor Brian Mc Mahon says that for the second week running the owners of Childrens bicycles are being sought this time after two girls bikes were found abandoned and taken in for safe keeping by a resident in Sion.

He said,

"Last week my colleague Cllr Karina Carlin appealed for the owners of two boys bikes found abandoned on the Plot Pad beside Melmount Villas to come forward and thankfully as a result two young brothers from the foot of the town area have now been re-united with their property.

"Having read this appeal in the press a resident of Sion Mills also contacted us to say that he has two girls bikes in his possession for safekeeping after they were abandoned close to his home and has asked that we similarly highlight this in the press in the hope that they can also be returned to their rightful owners.

"So if anyone has lost girls bikes they can contact the local constituency office on 71886464."
